In honor of World Press Freedom Day, the Native American Journalists Association recognizes the common struggle for press freedom around the world and within Indigenous communities.
NAJA is committed to strengthening and expanding the rights to free speech and a free press for all Indigenous people. We created the Red Press Initiative to better understand the specific challenges to press freedom, and develop practical solutions so our communities can continue to enhance and uphold these essential Indigenous rights.
In celebration of World Press Freedom Day, we encourage all supporters of tribal media to take a few minutes to respond to the Red Press Initiative survey. Your feedback will help us understand the issues so we can develop and promote effective solutions.
