The Marketing Team’s philosophy to achieve this goal is: showcase, invite, connect, and inspire a diverse range of enthusiasts so more humans can thrive Outside for a lifetime. We’ll do this by establishing an emotional connection through digital and real world activations that will create a non-transactional relationship between OUR BRAND and the community it’s created.
The community we want to create, converse with, and grow will be essential to the success of this role. The ideal candidate has extensive personal experience as an Outdoor enthusiast, a passion for storytelling, multiple years of professional writing experience, and is a highly engaged digital community member for their pastimes (read: social media luddites need not apply). This Marketing team member will be the digital avatar for the OUR BRAND brand, creating and participating in social media conversations across relevant platforms.
This person needs to have a strong understanding of trends, vocabulary, and sustainability issues affecting the core of OUR BRAND’s business: camping, backpacking, and ultralight backpacking. Bonus points if they’ve got experience in Hunting, Fishing, or Bikepacking. This role will be crucial to the brand’s ability to be nimble in the competitive Outdoor gear space. The information they gather will be expressed through their adroit writing in everything from print / digital advertising, product copy, blog and more.
