Koahnic Broadcast Corp. seeks a talented and driven producer to help guide ‘Native America Calling,’ the only live national radio call-in talk show that focuses on Native perspectives. We are looking for someone who can help deliver compelling ideas to engage audiences on the air and through digital platforms. Duties include: working in a team environment to generate and research program topics, booking and pre- interviewing guests, writing compelling and accurate copy, helping engage social media audiences, providing direction and support during live shows, and occasionally fill in as back-up host when needed.
The ideal candidate has a detailed and demonstrated knowledge of Native issues and the movers, shakers and experts that can bring a topic to life for an audience, can look at issues from different sides and viewpoints, can effectively communicate verbally and in writing, can deliver on deadline, and seeks solutions rather than problems. This position requires someone who keeps current on national news and trends, can work both independently and as part of a team, and can accurately convey complex issues in ways the average person can grasp.
To apply: submit a cover letter, resume and 3 references, a sample of work, and a completed KBC Application for Employment (located at nativeamericacalling.org) to: HR@knba.org. Koahnic Broadcast Corporation is an equal opportunity employer. Deadline to apply: September 30, 2021
